The Wild Wild West of CBD

Yes, the world of CBD is kind of like the wild wild west right now.  You will see CBD products sold everywhere from Walgreens and Walmart to Gas Stations and Vape shops.  You will find products in CBD stores, Chiropractor offices, Spas and Veterinary clinics.  And of course you will find CBD products online from amazing companies like County Line Hemp LLC (excuse the shameless self-promotion!) .  There is no lack of products to choose from and there are just as many vendors out there to buy from.  The problem with this is is that consumers who are curious about trying CBD may feel intimidated when searching out these products, especially if they are unsure of what products are right for them, or how much to take. And, most consumers have no idea how their CBD products are made.

The truth is that there are many vendors who are selling "private label" products that they do not make themselves.  Private Labeling is where a large manufacturer makes products and then puts the seller's label on the product for them.  The seller then sells the products online, or puts them on the shelves of a store.  Most the time they never physically touch their own products.  And the truth is they probably don't even use their own products, yet they are perfectly fine with selling them to you, the consumer.  While we have no negative feelings for these sellers, we know that many of them are getting their products from sources who care less about the end consumer and more about their bottom line profit. And the methods used to make these products on a mass scale are just as bad as the way highly processed foods are made!

The "Harsh" Truth About Solvents

Almost ALL mass produced CBD products are made using harsh harsh chemicals like Propane, Butane, Ethanol, or Carbon Dioxide (CO2).  Yes, you read that right.  These companies take an amazing, natural plant like Hemp, and then pour Butane all over it to strip all the oils and terpenes off the hemp flower (buds).  While most producers try to eliminate leftover impurities, there have been many tests that show elevated concentrations of leftover chemicals.  One of these, Butane, has been linked to central nervous system (CNS) reactions, and cardiovascular complications when used on a regular basis. Butane toxicity is real, and "BHO" or butane hash oil, is one of the most common methods for extraction.  So, while the health risks are low, why would you knowingly use these products when there is a BETTER OPTION!!

Solventless Extraction - The Better Option

Here at County Line Hemp, we produce all of our products using safe and effective extraction methods that NEVER USE CHEMICALS, PERIOD!!  We utilize 4 simple things to extract our cannabinoids: ICE, WATER, HEAT and PRESSURE.  Yes, it is a little more complicated than that, but the truth is you can be assured that our methods NEVER use chemicals.  At our sanitized, sterile processing facility, we make our products in small batches to ensure an extremely consistent product that works every time.  We have better flavor profiles because our methods preserve the structure and stability of all Terpenes and Cannabinoids from the Hemp plant.

In future blog posts we will delve into more detail on this processing method, as well as the benefits of CBD products.  We are also open to answering any questions you may have regarding Hemp Growing, CBD processing, and the environmental benefits of Hemp.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, we appreciate you all!!
